<li>The ACQUITY UPLC system is samples to be analyzed by placing a microsample plate or bottle on the sample manager-Flow Through Needle (SM-FTN). The sample manager uses a Flow-Through-Needle machine (where the needle is part of the high pressure sample flow path) to inject the sample plate or sample vial into the column. The optional expanded quantitative ring (mounted between the sample needle and the injection valve) increases the injection volume beyond the volume of the sample needle. The user can also dilute the injected sample (auto-dilution) using SM-FTN.</li>
